In the BIOBOIL project funded by the Wallonia Region and the European Union Structural Funds, MITIS and its partner Archbiogaz in France are developing and testing a unique biogas boiler based on the flameless combustion technology of MITIS. The heat produced by this boiler will be mainly used to warm the anaerobic digester to the temperature required for the anaerobic process to take place. The biogas produced by the digester is targeted to the production of biomethane for injection into the natural gas grid.
